Meet the Team

A few words from our Founder

Hey friend, thank you for visiting our website and showing an interest in Nasty Mode Records, it’s great to have you! You’ve made it to our “About” section, meaning perhaps you’re interested in what we do; so whilst you’re here, I’d like to take the opportunity to say a few words about our ethos, the culture we are trying to create and what we are setting out to achieve as an organisation.

The modern independent music artist is expected to be a full-time creator and entrepreneur. What we as a label aim to achieve is to provide an artist partnership tool that alleviates the business responsibilities for grassroots artists, so they can concentrate on creating and making beautiful music.

In the past few months the Nasty Mode story has been surreal at times. We began our work on the project in May with the wonderful Dan and Phoebe committing themselves fully to this concept. Both of them have been absolutely pivotal to the successes we’ve had so far. We filmed the Beach House Sessions in July which have been an absolute hit within our community. We launched our social media in early August and finally introduced everyone to Nasty Mode Records, after months of work. On the 6th September we had our epic launch party and sold out the iconic Brightonian grassroots venue Green Door Store in advance.

We’re continuing to expand and working on even bigger creative endeavours and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this project. The bigger this community, the better, so reach out and get involved!

TOMA LAZAROV

This project is all about collaboration and the journey so far has been incredible. We have been working hard on creating a community that allows for creatives in Brighton and beyond to work and grow together and for our artists to feel like there is a supportive culture and environment that allows for profound development. Our goal is to lift and inspire grassroots artists to level up in their career, to put a team around them that represents them diligently and helps execute their creative visions. Our circle operates with kindness at all times and we will always firmly stand by the belief that we can achieve anything when doing so.

“I wanted to create a platform that gives artists the next step to level up. To take away the business side of the industry so they can focus on their creativity.”
